Theo Von Goes Nuts On Joe Rogan Podcast, Gets Dragged Online
Von's political awakening has reached the "college sophomore philosophy major pothead" stage.
Theo Von has made an entire career out of saying outlandish things.
The caveat is that most of those outlandish things he says are supposed to be funny, but in a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Von ditched the comedy for straight-up psychosis.
It got so bad that even Rogan sounded slightly concerned for his comedian friend.

It looks like Von has gotten to the "sophomore philosophy major who smokes pot all the time" stage of his political awakening.
We all knew that guy in college who would say things like, "it's all just a big conspiracy maaaaan," and "we just need to legalize weed and then tax it, and we would crush the deficit in an afternoon."
Sometimes I really don't miss college, but I digress.
It was interesting to see Von get so buried in his own conspiracy theories of politicians "slurping kids" and giving all our money to Israel that even Rogan, who dabbles in conspiracy theories himself, was concerned for his wellbeing.
It gets worse, though.
Von's political awakening wouldn't be complete without throwing in the classic "they just send the poor to fight their wars" take.

Jesus, dude. What year do you think it is, anyway?
We aren't flying helicopters out of Saigon, for Christ's sake.
You can't convince me that Von didn't just listen to "Civil War" by Guns N' Roses on the way into the studio a few dozen times to serve as show prep.
Also, "honky ass?" Nothing pisses me off more than when a white dude says things like, "ugh, white people, am I right, guys?"
Luckily for the rest of us, Von got corrected by an avalanche of X users who called him out for his misleading rhetoric.
This is why I've always felt there was a downside to the proliferation of podcasts over the last decade.
Everyone has a voice and can reach as many people as they want about any topic they wish to talk about, regardless of how informed they are on the subject.
I'm not trying to gatekeep anything, nor am I qualified to talk about a bevy of topics.
But I generally try to stick to things I know, and when I don't, I research enough to at least not sound like a complete buffoon.
Theo Von is a funny dude, and I'm sure he knows a lot of cool stuff, but he should probably do a little more research before spouting off about something as serious as war and foreign policy on the world's biggest podcast.
Not an order, just a suggestion.
