North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance has scheduled a second pro day on April 19, ESPN reports.
Lance likely improved his draft stock after his Pro Day workout drew 30 NFL clubs the first time around in March. He announced in October he would be pursuing an NFL career and did not play last season.
Lance is not the only quarterback prospect holding a second pro day, as Ohio State’s Justin Fields is expected to throw at Pro Day next week.
ESPN reports that Lance is one of the QBs thought to be under consideration by the San Francisco 49ers’ at No. 3, along with Fields and Alabama’s Mac Jones.
After the Ohio State Pro Day conflicted with Alabama’s Pro Day on March 30, Fields welcomed a chance to work out again for anyone who couldn’t make to the first outing — the 49ers staff are expected to attend Fields’ session.
ProFootballRumors.com reports that 49ers GM John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan did not attend Lance’s first session, so the hope is that they’ll show up the second time around.
The NFL draft is slated for April 29-May 1.
