Patrick Mahomes Sr. Arrested On Third DWI

Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested for driving while intoxicated late Saturday night in Texas. According to TMZ, this is at least the third DWI arrest for the father of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.

The elder Mahomes was also reportedly arrested back in 2019 for his second DUI and was sentenced to 40 days in jail. According to the report, he served the time on weekends to fulfill the requirement.

Not that there's ever a good time for a DWI arrest, but Mahomes' timing is especially bad. His son Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to compete in Super Bowl LVIII in just one week. And after the quarterback's brother, Jackson Mahomes, was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery in May, the family doesn't really need any more legal problems.

A former MLB pitcher, Patrick Mahomes Sr. has never shied away from the spotlight. He roasted Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals after the Chiefs eliminated them from the postseason last year. And during the AFC Championship last week, he was spotted slamming beers at a Baltimore Ravens tailgate outside M&T Bank Stadium.

Pat Mahomes Sr. Stops At Baltimore Ravens Tailgate Rocking 'Kansas City Vs. Everybody' Jacket

Pat Mahomes Sr stopped at a Baltimore Ravens tailgate to drink a beer before his son's Chiefs took on the Ravens in the AFC Championship.

Mahomes Sr. previously joked that he's not interested in sitting in a suite with Taylor Swift. But now, it's unclear if he'll even be able to attend the Super Bowl at all.

Bond is expected to be set Sunday evening.
