The Ironic Item Police Found While Searching Tiger Woods After His Crash
Not the best endorsement for this poor company.
The Tiger Woods bodycam footage from last week's crash – and arrest – is out. We can now do what we do best, and analyze it like the Zapruder film.
How did Tiger look? How did he sound? What did he say? HOW did he say it? The Martin County Sheriff's Department released the footage Thursday afternoon, and the internet immediately went to work.
It's, obviously, very subjective. Some think Tiger looks dazed and confused. Others say he seems relatively normal. His excuse for the rollover?
"I looked down at my phone, and then all of a sudden, boom."
Simple, right? Of course not!
If you want the Xs and Os breakdown of the video, I suggest reading what OutKick's crack golf writer, Mark Harris, wrote earlier. He was all over it.
I'm here to dive into the nuances of the footage, like Tiger falling asleep in the back of the cop car. Tiger with a towel on his head.
Or, what police found on Tiger's person upon arrest:
Not a great ad, but that's not the point
Well, that's … something. Ironic is the word, right? "Focus." Not the best endorsement for that poor company. Tough look.
I'm a big nicotine pouch guy myself, so I fully endorse this move by Tiger. I know it's nicotine-free, but the point still stands. I've never tried "Focus," so I can't speak to its effectiveness. That being said, the irony wasn't lost on anyone who spotted this little detail.
I could go on and on. You get the picture. Low-hanging fruit? Sure. But, as is life on the internet in 2026.
Look, I wrote last week that it's time to stop protecting Tiger over stuff like this. I love Tiger the golfer. LOVE him. I grew up with him. I never missed a round. Never missed a shot. I was on vacation when he won The Masters in 2019, and stayed inside for an entire day of the trip just to watch the final round.
My wife was furious, but I wasn't going to miss it. One of the most amazing comebacks I'd ever watched. I'm not sure it'll ever be topped.
Anyway, my point is, I love Tiger the golfer. But I'm done with Tiger the human at this point. He keeps doing this. We keep falling for it. It's insane.
I don't know what's going to happen here. I don't know what the court is going to say, what Tiger's going to say, or if any of this will hold up. I don't care.
It's all just … exhausting. Right? It's exhausting. And sad.
I hope he actually gets whatever help he needs. I really hope he hires a full-time driver. I also hope he gets back to golf and pops a "Focus" on the first tee, as God intended.
We'll see.
