VIDEO: Davante Adams Trolls Media While Drilling Long Mini-Basketball Shot In Raiders Locker Room

The Las Vegas Raiders are a complete dumpster fire. After firing head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler on Tuesday night, they benched veteran starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on Wednesday afternoon. But, wide receiver Davante Adams knows that the problem isn't shooting hoops in the locker room.

In a video posted on social media Thursday, Adams is shooting hoops with a mini-basketball on a mini-hoop at the team's facility against one of his teammates.

Before taking a shot, Adams trolls the media and implies that people are going to make a big deal about him playing around in the locker room.

"Get ready for this, I'm calling it right now," Adams says as he protects the ball from his teammate/defender.

"'This is why they're losing, causing they're worried about the wrong shit,'" he continues in a mocking tone to laughter from other Raiders teammates.

As he continues imitating potential media critics, he drills a long shot and celebrates as a chorus of "OOOHHHHHs" ring out from the gathered cheering section.

Davante Adams is 100% right

Adams nails this, in more ways than one. First, some people definitely would take that video and say that it's a "bad look" or whatever. Although, he headed them off, so they can't now.

Second, this is not why the Las Vegas Raiders stink. They stink because they had a terrible head coach and still have a completely mismanaged roster with an oft-injured and aging quarterback.

People sometimes act like athletes can't do anything but practice their sport all the time. That's just simply not true.

It's funny, though, that Adams knows the media's familiar playbook. We all seek to explain things we can't explain.

Except, I just explained why the Raiders stink. So, I don't need a locker room basketball video to explain it.

Davante Adams isn't having a down season because of this. Rather, a poor offensive line, struggling quarterback and underprepared gameplan explain that much better.

Keep firing those three-pointers, Davante. Or, don't.

Either way, the team is still going to stink.
