Russian Woman Falls To Her Death Trying To Get A Selfie For Instagram

Confession: I no longer feel bad when people fall off cliffs to their deaths while trying to take selfies.

At this point, humans have heard enough stories of people being flattened after falling off waterfalls, and having their arms and heads ripped off while accelerating into granite cliffs to know that those selfies come with risks.

In the latest case of some chick dying while attempting to get a selfie, Russian beautician Inessa Polenko, 39, tried to dial up some content, but she ended up falling 170-feet to her death while at the Gagry point viewing area in Abkhazia, Georgia which sits high above the Black Sea4.

The Sun reports Polenko stumbled over a barrier and fell to her death. Boom, game over.

The Russian beauty found out the hard way that when the selfie gods decide it's over, it's time to go. Inessa had been running strong on Instagram where she was up to 9,000 followers. On her travel site, she showed off all sorts of content like one video where she's standing on a cliff in Hashupse Canyon which is in Abkhazia, Georgia where she fell to her death.

In another video, Inessa sits on the edge of a waterfall while getting content.

This is why I can no longer say, ‘Damn, I feel bad for this woman who just fell to her death.’ Inessa knew the risks, she knew the Instagram ‘Likes’ rewards.

She's no different than the others that came, and died, before her. There's the woman who fell to her death in Belgium right in front of her husband. He turned to look at their dogs, turned back around and she had fallen right off a cliff. "I didn't see or hear anything. No rustling, no screams or shouts. I looked up and saw only dust," the man said

It's not just waterfalls that try to take selfie fantatics. A woman fell off a cruise ship raining in 2023 while trying to get the perfect 'gram content. She was lucky. The incident happened during the day and a rescue team was able to pluck her from the ocean.

The lesson, once again, is that the content isn't worth your life. If you really want that cliff content, use AI. Tell AI to place your head on a hot model's body and then pick some exotic locale. Tell the AI bot to make a selfie.

Meanwhile, you'll be in the comfort of your own home and the Instagram crowd will never know the difference. Try it. I might've just saved your life.
