Italian Soccer Reporter Diletta Leotta Announces Her Engagement To German Goalkeeper

There's a lot going on in the world of soccer right now.  From the whole drama surrounding Kyle Walker getting his mistress pregnant for the second time to the influencer hopping on a FaceTime call buck naked with her soccer player boyfriend's entire family.

But all the news coming from the world of soccer isn't wild and crazy.  There are also some heartwarming goings on making their way into the headlines.  One of those is the classic tale of the soccer reporter, with millions of Instagram followers, falling for the backup goalkeeper.

The story of Italian soccer reporter Diletta Leotta and German goalkeeper Loris Karius.  The couple, who welcomed a daughter on Leotta's 32nd birthday in August, announced Wednesday that they're engaged.

It's something that Leotta said on social media they've been keeping quiet for a few months.  She announced on Instagram, "I must say one thing... I said yes!"

"I’ve waited a few months to tell you because Loris and I wanted to live as much as possible the emotions of Aria’s birth but now we’re ready to dedicate ourselves to this new big milestone together as a family!  Do you know the phrase ‘When you’re happy pay attention,’ in the moment captured in these photos I was the happiest woman in the world, with Loris and with Aria who was arriving."

Diletta Leotta Is Keeping Her Approach To Content

Congratulations are obviously in order for Leotta and Karius.  As is taking stock of whether adding the titles of mom and fiancée are going to cause her to switch up her approach on social media.

This affects her 9 million Instagram followers as well as those soccer reporters/influencers who are trying to get in on her action.  All the early indications are that nothing is changing content-wise.

Other than sprinkling in some family from time to time, it appears to be business as usual for Leotta.  She's still pedal to the metal, for the most part, as far as her content is concerned.

A backup goalie salary along with whatever Leotta is pulling in covering soccer is nice.  You know what's even better?  Those brand deal dollars she commands with her millions of followers.

That requires a well-fed algorithm and that's not lost on this Screencaps veteran, who has been on the OutKick Culture Department's radar for years.
