Everyone has an opposite. Short guys have Yao Ming, sane people have Keith Olbermann, and Aaron Rodgers has California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).
Rodgers is great at his job, everyone wants him on their team, and he has helped save communities during the pandemic. Newsom is the second-worst governor in the country (see the CNN guy’s brother), 1,927,000 residents have signed a petition to recall him, and he ruined California during the pandemic.
Hard to believe these two guys live on the same planet. Thankfully, Rodgers too noticed the difference, and took another good swipe at Newsom this week:
“Been doing some work actually in my hometown in Northern California as well to try and help some people through a small business fund that we started,” Rodgers said. “You know, we’re just trying to do our part and as we ease back into the training stuff in my professional life, I just want to make sure where I’m from and the area I’ve called home in the past are doing OK. And California has really been hit hard by COVID and by the rules that the governor has put in place as well.”
“The governor.”
Whether you are a Tom Brady guy, a Patrick Mahomes stan, or you just hate everyone — one cannot deny Rodgers is correct. COVID has greatly damaged California, but so has every idea Newsom has enforced. Every one of them. They have all been awful.
Earlier this year, Rodgers singled out politicians who announce restrictions with conviction only to ignore the exact rules they demand others follow.
“I mean, they put these rules in place, and they’re not even following their own rules,” Rodgers begins.
Rodgers goes on: “How many people have gotten caught? Don’t travel, don’t leave the state. Oh, here’s so-and-so on a vacation. Oh, here’s so-and-so at a salon. Don’t eat out at a restaurant unless you’re wearing a mask and separate. Oh, here’s a picture of the governor of California violating those rules.”
“Governor of California.” So good.
Gavin Newsom: wear a mask in between bites, don’t be selfish.
Also Gavin Newsom:
EXCLUSIVE: We've obtained photos of Governor Gavin Newsom at the Napa dinner party he's in hot water over. The photos call into question just how outdoors the dinner was. A witness who took photos tells us his group was so loud, the sliding doors had to be closed. 10pm on @FOXLA pic.twitter.com/gtOVEwa864

What do you call that? Per Newsom, just a “bad mistake.”
In more recent events, Aaron Rodgers donated $1 million to help 80 locally-owned businesses in his hometown of Chico and all of Butte County, California. Meanwhile, Newsom helped contribute to California’s dead-last ranking in administering COVID vaccines.
Sure, we thank Rodgers for his brilliance on the field, for another MVP season, for his donations, but his savvy swipes at Newsom also deserve applause.
Aaron Rodgers, all-time great QB; Gavin Newsom, just all-time bad.
Good for Rodgers to call out the despicable Newsome.
Awesome to see that Rodgers is able to read the field outside the stadium too. Great call because Newsome is a disgrace.
Rodgers is correct.
Newsom is a big tyrannical fake phony just like all of them and cali like new York seem to continually elect the same awful people year after year gettin what they deserve and then some enjoy.
Yes Rodgers is correct.
Looks like there’s going to be enough signatures for a recall. Wise up people and vote his ass out.
Then don’t vote another Democratic twit in!
Newsome probably thought being so bad at administering the vaccine would win him points with the left because of it being “Trump’s vaccine” that they don’t trust. Or is that not what they pretend to think anymore?
Rodgers ought to lead the recall efforts to draw attention to everyone what a village idiot Newsome is!
Newsome should be locked up. Prison or loony bin, take your pick.
How ironic is it that the same guy that’s a flaming liberal blasts another flaming liberal. It’s no secret that Rodgers is far left of center and in all likelihood helped get that very guy elected.
Amen…
