University Of Cincinnati Surprises Kelce Brothers With Impromptu Graduation Ceremony

Jason and Travis Kelce are officially college graduates.

OK, they actually both earned bachelor's degrees from the University of Cincinnati years ago — Travis in interdisciplinary studies and Jason in marketing. But neither one of them attended their graduation ceremonies.

So while the Kelce brothers were on campus for a live New Heights podcast event on Thursday, UC decided to surprise them with an impromptu commencement ceremony.

Dressed in full graduation regalia at Fifth Third Arena, university president Dr. Neville Pinto presented Travis and Jason with their diplomas. Their parents, Donna and Ed, were also on hand to witness the ceremony.

And Travis celebrated the moment by chugging a beer on stage in his cap and gown. Because of course he did.

"To all my fellow students ... before we make this thing official, I thought I'd give you guys some advice," Travis told the crowd. "You gotta fight. For your right. To PAAAAAAARTY!"

This guy.

During the live show, the Kelce brothers hosted the first-ever Lombaby Games, which pitted two teams — one of student-athletes and another of student academics — against each other. The night also featured numerous star appearances, including Cincinnati Bengals players Joe Burrow and Orlando Brown Jr., and Bearcats legend Desmond Ridder.

The Kelce brothers launched the New Heights podcast in September 2022, but the pod skyrocketed in popularity after Travis began dating Taylor Swift last fall. In the month after Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game, the brothers’ YouTube channel grew by 350,000 subscribers.

Between October and December 2023, New Heights was the sixth most popular podcast in the United States, up from No. 67 the previous quarter.

And Travis probably chugged some beers to celebrate that, too.
