Turning Point USA Handing Out Charlie Kirk Shirts Prior To Penn State-Oregon

TPUSA plans 5,000 shirt giveaway and campus voter registration at Beaver Stadium

The biggest college football game on Saturday's slate is No. 6 Oregon visiting the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions. Sorry, Alabama, Georgia and SEC fans, but you're going to take a backseat to a Big Ten showdown this week.

The game has special significance because Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10, was a known Oregon Ducks fan and had planned to attend the massive college football matchup in Happy Valley.

Benny Johnson joined Will Cain's podcast, "Will Cain Country," on Thursday and announced that Turning Point USA would have a presence on the Penn State campus this weekend to hand out 5,000 shirts in honor of Kirk. The shirts feature the word "Freedom" and are exact replicas of the shirt Kirk was wearing when he was shot and killed.

In addition, there is a plan to set up a tent and voter registration station to encourage college students to take an active role in American politics.

In other words, it's a plan to continue the mission started by Kirk prior to his horrific death.

"In honor of Charlie Kirk, we are going to fight cultural battles, and we are going to win them," Johnson said, before explaining Kirk's love of college football and his plans to attend Saturday's game.

"We want this student section to be popping with Charlie Kirk ‘Freedom’ shirts for the 'White Out' at Penn State this weekend."

As a Penn State graduate, of course, I want Penn State to blow the doors off Oregon. As do the majority of attendees at that game. Thus, it was a brilliant move by TPUSA to hand out T-shirts that simply say, "Freedom." It's a message that all fans can get behind, even if Kirk pulled for the Ducks.

Additionally, Saturday is a "White Out" game at Beaver Stadium under the lights, so it's brilliant to give away white T-shirts that fans can wear and maintain a long-standing Penn State tradition.

Under the lights at Beaver Stadium, let the White Out shine a little brighter for Charlie.
