Luka Doncic's Offseason Transformation Looks Like A Middle Finger To Nico Harrison

The Los Angeles Lakers guard showed off his revenge body on the cover of Men's Health Magazine.

When the Dallas Mavericks shocked the NBA world and traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in February, reports surfaced that Mavs GM Nico Harrison decided to trade the team's franchise player because he was out of shape and not at peak physical fitness.

Well, not anymore.

In a new spread for Men's Health, Doncic looks like he's in the best shape of his life. The Lakers guard has clearly lost a ton of weight, is already looking shredded and, apparently, isn't done yet.

"If I stop now," the future Hall of Famer told the outlet, "it was all for nothing."

To get this new revenge body, Doncic hired a three-person team (a physiotherapist, a trainer and a nutritionist), affectionately referred to as "Team Luka." They have him grinding through two-a-day workouts, following a gluten-free, low-sugar diet and consuming at least 250 grams of protein a day. The five-time All-Star is also on an intermittent fasting plan, meaning he doesn't eat from 8:30 p.m. until noon the following day.

"Just visually, I would say my whole body looks better," Doncic said.

Last season, the Lakers were booted in the first round of the NBA Playoffs when they lost the series 4-1 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Doncic — who looked out of shape and gassed by the end — said he then texted his manager Lara Beth Seager to get his training program going immediately.

"Every summer I try my best to work on different things," he said. "Obviously, I'm very competitive. This summer was just a little bit different, you know. It kind of motivated me to be even better."

An early exit from the playoffs and a former GM to prove wrong? Luka Doncic, quite literally, looks like a man on a mission.
