In the new age of NIL — with Tennessee planted right in the middle of all the Name, Image and Likeness commotion — Hyatt spoke about the teetering decision-making process for college athletes nowadays.

Hyatt delved into his decision to declare for the NFL amid a high-point in his career, and the new rules of NIL that allow athletes to create a living without having to go pro.

The wideout discussed how the system is changing and how it can address the necessary "structure" to clear up the legal battles started by NIL.

"I just think, there's no structure rules," Hyatt said regarding the current state of NIL. "You know, that's the biggest thing about it. There's no rules in place. I think that's really why so many things are going on. … What do you expect?"

"I really believe [NIL] is good for college football," Hyatt added. "I just think it just needs to be more structured."

The Hot Mic guys pivoted toward Hyatt's tenure at Tennessee.

Hutton and Withrow asked Jalin Hyatt what the interest from other schools sounded like after he won the Biletnikoff award — the highest honor for a college wideout — in 2022 after recording 67 catches for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Hyatt admitted that three to four schools reached out with interest in luring him to their respective programs.
