Dak Prescott Dodges $100M Lawsuit Filed By 'Extortionist'

A lawsuit alleging sexual assault against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was dismissed in Dallas County this week. The woman made the claims that Prescott sexually assaulted her in 2017, shortly after the end of his rookie season.

The plaintiff's case was dismissed, but her attorney, Yoel Zehaie, shared plans to re-file the suit against Prescott in Collin County. Zehai reached out to OutKick on Thursday and stated that Prescott's case was dismissed in Dallas County due to a counterclaim filed by her team.

Prescott first responded to the claims, stating that the woman was attempting to extort him by demanding $100 million from the QB and threatening to press criminal charges against him. The 30-year-old Dallas player opted to sue the woman for $1 million for her ‘extortion’ attempt.

The plaintiff's attorney filed a "non-suit without prejudice" request, which allowed the plaintiff to give up her case and re-file in a different county. The attorney also claimed that the plaintiff had not entirely given up her suit.

Dak's attorney, Levi McCathern, shared a statement with WFAA on Wednesday, repeating Prescott's innocence.

"Her allegations are completely false, and this is all a continuation of the extortion plot against Dak," McCathern said.

"It is truly sad for the true survivors of sexual assault that people try to use our system to enrich themselves at the expense of others. The good news for Dak is I am confident the truth will prevail in this matter."

Prescott awaits a sizable contract extension from Jerry Jones and the Cowboys as he enters the final season of a four-year, $160 million extension, signed back in 2021.
