Clay Travis: Charles Barkley 'Hopelessly Wrong' For Criticizing Black Voters

Charles Barkley made strong comments against Black voters supporting Donald Trump after the former U.S. President made a joke stemming from his infamous mugshot.

Barkley said he'd be willing to punch a Black Trump voter after the ex-president said the African-American community loves him more after being arrested.

Barkley aired his unhinged comments in a segment from his CNN show, alongside co-host Gayle King.

OutKIck founder Clay Travis addressed Barkley's comments, calling them "hopelessly wrong" in their demonizing of Trump and his voters. Chuck went on to accuse Trump of election denial and stating further opposition to No. 45.

Clay delivered his full thoughts on Barkley and Stephen A. Smith's DEI rant on Tuesday's packed "OutKick the Show."

"Charles Barkley is a free thinker. … I think he's hopelessly wrong in the way that he's analyzing Black Trump voters," Clay said.

"And as a free thinker, I would encourage Charles Barkley to think about why up to a quarter of Black men may be voting for Donald Trump in this election. I don't always think that Trump is the most articulate person. I think it's because they're recognizing, as many men are, and women all over the country that they're being told profound lies and that there is truth in America. …

"I'll debate this with Charles Barkley. … Anyone who can articulate why they are in favor of diversity, equity and inclusion thinks that black Trump supporters should be punished. I think we're at an incredibly important pivot point in America where identity politics is going to be destroyed, once and for all."
