Iowa's Caitlin Clark Won't Be Able To Score Against Men In Big3 League, Says Ex-NBA Player Kenyon Martin
It's ridiculous to assume that Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark can play against men, even with her incredible range.
At least that's what ex-NBA hooper Kenyon Martin thinks.
Martin commented on the growing chatter around Caitlin Clark's ability to compete against men at a pro level (or close to it) after the Lady Hawkeye was offered $5 million by rapper Ice Cube to play 10 games in his Big3 league.
Kenyon Martin, joining Gilbert Arenas' podcast, said Clark wouldn't be able to score a single point in the Big3 league, based on its "prison style" play.
Martin's point, while brash, made sense. He delved into the evident distinctions in size between male and female basketball players.

"It's a step under prison ball," Martin said, appearing on Gilbert Arenas' podcast. "Could you imagine her getting stuck down on Reggie Evans?"
He added, "She gon' take the ball out? As soon as she tries to cross that line, boom! Yo' little a**."
There's no question Clark will struggle squaring up against the male competition, even if the Big3 League is full of retired guys who've been hit by time like a brick.
Just looking at the Big3's competition, guys like Gerald Green, Al Harrington, Joe Johnson, Jason Richardson, Nick Young, Rashard Lewis, and more pose major size advantages compared to the 6-foot, 154-pound Caitlin Clark.
It's no competition, as Martin said.

Taking size out of the equation, Clark's generational range and distribution skills at least inspired the conversations of having her play against men.
Rather than fantasize about her prospects in other leagues, let's enjoy Caitlin Clark for her play at the collegiate level, and eventually, in the pros.
Right now, Clark is preoccupied with shouldering the Hawkeyes to a national title.
