NFL Moves Three Week 15 Games Amid COVID Outbreak

Despite the NFL telling teams before the season that it would not move a single game this year due to COVID-19 outbreaks, the league will move multiple Week 15 games because of COVID.

Thus far, the NFL has rescheduled three games to the following days/start times:

Raiders at Browns, Monday at 5 pm ET on NFL Network.

Seahawks at Rams, Tuesday at 7 pm FOX.

Washington at Eagles, Tuesday at 7 pm on FOX.

It's unclear which players and coaches on the COVID reserve list will be able to return for games on Monday or Tuesday.

That said, we now get a Monday doubleheader and two Tuesday football games. In other words, more football.

Looking ahead, the NFL plans to combat recent COVID outbreaks with new protocols that the league announced on Thursday. The new rules make masks mandatory for players, staff, and coaches regardless of vaccination status.

The adjusted protocols will follow several guidelines from 2020, such as a weight room limit of 15 players and no gathering for meals. In addition, all meetings must now be outdoors — in large practice bubbles — or virtual.

In addition, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones suggested on Friday that the NFL may loosen COVID protocols for asymptomatic vaccinated players.

“I think we will get to a point probably this week that we’ll only test if symptomatic, that’s if you’ve been vaccinated,” Jones to 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “That’s a good thing. Test when you’re symptomatic and that’s it.”

Hopefully, that happens this week as Jones predicts it will.
