NFL Updates COVID Protocols: Masks Are Back

Videos by OutKick

The NFL and NFLPA agreed to update COVID protocols on Thursday.

According to the memo, the new protocol makes masks mandatory for players, staff, and coaches regardless of vaccination status.

The adjusted protocols will follow several guidelines from 2020, such as a weight room limit of 15 players and no gathering for meals. In addition, all meetings must now be outdoors — in large practice bubbles — or virtual.

Here are more details:

On Monday, the NFL reported 37 total positive tests, the highest in the NFL since the start of COVID.

  1. I’m happy the NFL is doing this. And when they find out that the numbers continue to go up they will realize that masks and vaccinations don’t do anything.

And I can’t see them canceling the season because the one thing the NFL loves more than political theater and being woke is the almighty $$.

    • No kidding. Just stop testing and no one would even know. Stop talking about every single case and there wouldn’t be anything to cover. No one is actually sick. No one is hospitalized. Most of these players probably had no idea they had it. There is no story apart from stupid testing stats. It’s the boogeyman.
