Buy Matt Schaub's Insane Georgia Mega-Mansion

There are athlete mega-mansions -- like the absurd spread Shaq recently sold -- and then there's a place a little more reasonable, like the one Matt Schaub is selling in Suwanee, Georgia for $4,895,000. Here I was going about my business and suddenly, out of nowhere, the newly retired Falcons QB (47-46 career NFL record) is selling one of the most incredible athlete houses the market has seen in recent memory.

The nearly 15,000 sq. ft. monster sitting on the grounds of the exclusive River Club boasts six bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, and more entertaining spots than you'll know what to do with. You'll have so many different spots to entertain on the sprawling deck that you'll have to invite hundreds of people over just to feel like you had a decent party.

And don't get me started on the hot tub/waterfall thing the Schaubs have going on. Are you kidding me? It appears that the pool area at the bottom of the falls is just enough swimming space to cool off after a day on the links. Not too much to maintain, but it has the wow factor that'll be important to a buyer who wants to impress the neighborhood dads who have everything.

From Schaub's realtor - Bonneau Ansley with Ansley Atlanta Real Estate, Llc:

This grand custom home in sought-after River Club is perfectly situated on a rare double lot of 3.5+/- acres overlooking the golf course. Beautiful details throughout include oversized living spaces, detailed woodwork, cathedral ceilings & outdoor living rooms. The exquisite estate has all the luxurious amenities including gourmet kitchen w/large island, pizza oven, barrel-vaulted primary suite on main, catering kitchen, custom bar, 19 seat theatre w/IMAX projection, 2 story wine cellar, outdoor spa w/two level waterfalls, Control 4 system & porte cohere w/4 car garage.

Guys, I'm not into wine, but I know a legitimate wine cellar when I see one. Get a good look at what Schaub has going on with that lower level cellar. It's incredible.

Now, I don't know what's going on with Schaub and why he's moving. He and his wife Laurie purchased the house for $4,950,000 in 2015, so they're looking at a slight loss, according to tax records. Personally, I'd never leave this beast. Go ahead and bury me out back when it's my time. Schaub has officially retired from the NFL, and apparently it's time to move on.

Mortgage: Zillow estimates it at $25,000 or so before you factor in air conditioning and maid service on this bad boy.
