Audio: Titans WR A.J. Brown Recruiting Julio Jones With Voice DM On Instagram

Julio Jones wants out of Atlanta, and from all indications, it looks like the Falcons are going to grant him his wish. He turned 32 years old in February, but there's still gas left in the tank for the five-time All-Pro wide receiver.

That's why it shouldn't come as a shock that players from around the league are recruiting him to come join their squad. Granted, the Falcons front office would have to facilitate any trade, but the pitches are pouring in nonetheless.

Most recently, we saw a second recruiting pitch from Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown, who has been vocal about wanting Tennessee to acquire the fellow SEC pass-catching product. After saying he would give up wearing No. 11 for his idol, Brown is now sending voice messages on Instagram.

“Trust me, if you want to carry the load, you can carry it, but if you get tired, you know I can carry you,” Brown said in part of his message.

Another Alabama product, star running back Derrick Henry, has also been recruiting Jones to Tennessee. A Brown-Jones duo at wide receiver with Henry toting the rock should be very intriguing to the decision-makers in Tennessee.

We know Ryan Tannehill certainly wouldn't mind it.

After back-to-back playoff appearances and an AFC South division title in 2020, the Titans are on the right path. But losing pass-catchers such as Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith, while only replacing them with Josh Reynolds and rookie four-round pick Dez Fitzpatrick, still leaves a void.

The Colts have gotten better, as have the Jaguars. Tennessee can't just sit still because that will likely mean regression by comparison. They should swing for the fences and keep pressing for a Super Bowl appearance. Julio would go a long way in that regard.
