New Zealand Has Gone Full 1984, Orwell Goes Prophetic

As recently as Oct. 3, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern admitted that the 'Zero COVID' policy used to shut down the country was a failed strategy. Days later, Ardern has turned her back on that admission and reinstated indefinite lockdowns after 32 new cases arose in Auckland.

Not only is Ardern doubling down on the folly of past false promises with the Zero COVID strategy, she is also going full George Orwell by instructing citizens to surrender full compliance to government-backed COVID data and policy and to expel any other source of information.

"The most up-to-date information daily. You can trust us as a source of information. You can also trust the Director General of Health and the Ministry of Health," started Ardern.

"Otherwise dismiss anything else. We will continue to be your single source of truth. We will provide information frequently. We will share everything we can. Everything else you see, take with a grain of salt. ...

"New Zealanders must prepare. But do not panic, prepare. And when you see those messages, remember unless you hear it from us, it is not the truth."

Government overreach has been a staple of the COVID-19 lockdowns, proving that those in power will truly never relinquish it willingly.
