Fully Vaccinated, Boosted AOC Tests Positive For COVID-19
Vacation time is over for New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who tested positive for COVID after returning from a New Year's getaway in Ron DeSantis' state of Florida.
A memo released by the House of Representatives on Sunday read: "Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has received a positive test result for COVID-19."
The statement also added that AOC is double vaxxed and received her booster shot prior to the Miami trip.
"She is experiencing symptoms and recovering at home. The congresswoman received her booster shot this Fall, and encourages everyone to get their booster and follow all CDC guidelines."
Ocasio-Cortez stumbled upon criticism throughout her visit to Florida after disobeying COVID practices she frequently promotes — including distancing rules and mandatory mask-wearing. She has also been a strong political opponent to Gov. DeSantis' fight to eliminate COVID restrictions altogether.
Vacationing with her boyfriend, AOC was seen afoot without a mask and around patrons at several indoor establishments. She broke all the rules when she attended a crowded drag bar devoid of COVID restrictions, leaving her with more fingerprints than an hour of CSI.
The 32-year-old congresswoman scolded the GOP for calling her travels hypocritical to her political platform. She claimed that members of the party wanted to secretly date the democratic socialist.
"It's starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women, and LGBT+ people in general," Ocasio-Cortez declared. "These people clearly need therapy, won't do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It's really weird."
