ESPN Anchor Seems To Drop N-Word Instead Of 'Dinger' During Highlight

While the Colorado Rockies were busy investigating what turned out to be a fan yelling "DINGER" towards the team's mascot and not a racial slur at a Marlins hitter, an ESPN SportsCenter anchor appeared to drop the n-word during highlights of an Albert Pujols home run before quickly correcting herself.

"His two-run n-word, dinger," the anchor said.

This time, it's pretty clear the SportsCenter anchor wasn't attempting to get the attention of the Rockies mascot.

"If John Anderson made that mistake, a white guy, ESPN would have zero tolerance for the mistake," OutKick media reporter Bobby Burack said about today's incident.

A quick check of social media search terms shows that there's barely been a peep out of the usual suspects over the SportsCenter host dropping the n-word. That's how you know the ratings sure haven't rebounded from the 41-year lows ESPN was facing earlier in the summer.

*Disclaimer: We're not looking for cancellation here. That said, it's probably time to leave "dinger" out of highlight copy for a few weeks until the hysteria of the last 24-hours settles down.
