LA County Public Health Recommending Those Vaccinated Return To Wearing Masks Indoors

California just lifted its mask mandate two weeks ago. After almost a year and a half of mandatory masks, the residents -- or the vaccinated ones, at least -- were finally free to return to a somewhat normal life. That was supposed to be one of the main selling points of the vaccine, right? Getting people back to their normal lives.

Well, now Los Angeles County health officials are recommending that all residents go back to wearing masks in public indoor spaces. Yes, that means even the fully vaccinated are being asked to start wearing masks again as a "precaution over concerns of the Delta variant."

Bill Melugin with Fox News tweeted out the latest development on Monday night.

According to an article from Reuters, this recommendation from LA County health officials comes despite the fact that they're saying "fully vaccinated people appear to be well protected from infections with Delta variants."

Buckle up, folks. This could be the start of Round 2. We'll probably see Dr. Fauci make a TV appearance in the near future wearing five masks, just to drive his point home. But remember, if you criticize him, you're criticizing science.

"Until we better understand how and to who the Delta variant is spreading, everyone should focus on maximum protection with minimum interruption to routine as all businesses operate without other restrictions, like physical distancing and capacity limits," part of the statement read.

I really hope those who detest the limited capacities and masks over in California were able to live freely for all of about two weeks. Who knows, maybe this is just a bump in the road and everything will be fine. I'm an optimist.
