Fed Up Kelly Stafford Goes Off Again After Matthew Is Placed On COVID Reserve List

I told you guys Wednesday that emotions are off the charts with NFL wives and girlfriends right now, and Kelly Stafford was one who was fuming this week. About five minutes after that post went live, it was announced Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was being placed on the NFL’s COVID reserve list because of contact tracing. The NFL didn’t report, however, that Matthew had tested negative.

Enter Kelly Stafford and her Instagram account. Whew!  Yet again, she was not happy with the NFL one bit, this time because the league made it seem as though her husband was COVID positive.

“We are all fine. We are all negative. My husband is negative,” Stafford said on Instagram Story. “There was just a certain exposure so we’ve been testing since our exposure and we are all negative. I will keep you guys updated if that changes. Thank you again NFL for throwing my family out there when no one is positive.”

The “again” part of Kelly’s thank you to the NFL is in reference to the false positive the NFL reported for Matthew back in August. She said during that incident that people harassed her kids and kicked them off a playground because they were perceived to be COVID positive.

Roger Goodell might have to hold a summit with the NFL wives to calm things down as the league heads into the final nine weeks of a crazy season. The least Roger could do is send out a nice gift to these ladies who have had to juggle kids, the COVID era, updating Instagram, jumping on private jets and pumping out influencer reviews. I’m thinking a bouquet of flowers at the very least.
