Jared Goff’s Girlfriend Christen Harper Announces Her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Candidacy

Christen Harper, the girlfriend of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, made a big announcement Thursday when she threw her bikini into the ring as a candidate for the 2021 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Hopefully, she realizes she can’t just walk in and get into the swimsuit issue, even if she is dating an NFL quarterback. Nothing is given in the swimsuit business. You have to earn it.

You have to give 110% to the craft. You have to be the first swimsuit model in and the last one out. You have to watch hours of film. You have to sacrifice for the team. You have to want it more than you’ve ever wanted anything in your life.

So far she’s saying all the right things, but this is just the interview stage. There are women out there like Alex Bregman’s fiancée who poured out her soul in order to be accepted. You have ladies out there like 56-year-old Kathy Jacobs who have dreams too. Being the girlfriend of a quarterback with a career 37-22 record doesn’t guarantee you’ll be the next Camille Kostek. She’s Gronk’s girlfriend, in case you didn’t know.

YOU HAVE TO WANT IT! DO YOU WANT IT, CHRISTEN?

“I am SO excited to finally go after one of my wildest dreams. @si_swimsuit has meant so much more than a magazine to me, it gave me the confidence to embrace who I am and ultimately chase my dreams,” Harper wrote on Instagram. “I was told countless times by agencies that I would be successful if I could just lose a few inches off my waist and that I wouldn’t be taken seriously outside of LA because of the size of my chest.

“Instead of shrinking myself down into an unrealistic standard for my own body, I chose to have faith that I was enough. It took a long time to fully love my body for all that it is, but I am standing here today happier and more confident than ever. I want to inspire other women to feel the same way and to treat their body the way they would a best friend…love her, respect her and ultimately believe in her!”

Odds of Christen making the 2021 issue: 3-1.
