Is NBC's Savannah Guthrie Working For The Chinese Government? It Sounds Like It

Welp, it didn't take long to figure out who NBC's Savannah Guthrie is working for at the 2022 Winter Olympics. It's clear as day that Savannah's daddy for the next two weeks is none other than the paramount leader of the Chinese Communist Party, Chairman Xi Jinping, and Ms. Guthrie clearly understands it's her duty to fall in line.

How do we know that?

All you had to do was watch the opening ceremony Friday morning on NBC. Guthrie proved her worth to the Chinese regime during the co-lighting of the Olympic flame when the broadcaster said Xi's choice of a Uyghur to help light the flame was "an in-your-face response to those Western nations, including the U.S., who have called this Chinese treatment of that group genocide and diplomatically boycotted these games."

Hey look, Master Xi is cool. He selected a Uyghur to light the flame. Game on! Let the Olympics begin!

Guthrie cannot be this inept at reading propaganda. It's impossible. And this isn't even a case of Guthrie being a good Communist Party cheerleader because NBC is in China. She's not even there! Savannah's in New York or Connecticut or wherever NBC's broadcasting from during the opening ceremony, but it's not Beijing.

“My kids are real happy. When I said, ‘Mommy does not have to go to China for two weeks,’ they were very, very happy,” Guthrie told Glamour. “The main upside to not going is to get to be with your kids. When we do go, we miss them like crazy.”

It's not just Guthrie who has fallen in line with the Chinese. Thursday, Nancy Pelosi told U.S. athletes to fall in line, pretty much telling them to shut up and dribble.

“I would say to our athletes — you’re there to compete. Do not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless,” Pelosi said Thursday at a Congressional hearing on China.

“I know there is a temptation on the part of some to speak out while they are there. I respect that, but I also worry about what the Chinese government might do to their reputations, to their families,” Pelosi added.

“So, again, participate, let us celebrate from abroad, and don’t risk thinking that there are any good intentions on the part of the People’s Republic of China’s government because there are none.”

While Guthrie and Pelosi were in the U.S. being Daddy Xi's lapdog, NBC's Mike Tirico opened NBC's coverage by addressing the Chinese political and human rights issues.

In a complete shocker, Tirico even acknowledged that China is the "nation where COVID began."

Buckle up, it's going to be a wild two-week ride for the Beijing Games on NBC.
