Ed Orgeron Reportedly Hit On Pregnant Wife Of LSU Official

Things continue to spiral out of control for LSU and head coach Ed Orgeron. Not only have the two parties reached an agreement to part ways after the season, but some reports now claim that Coach O “lost track of who he was and what made him good” during his time in Baton Rouge.

Apparently, he lost track of the fact he had been married up until very recently and that hitting on the pregnant wife of a school official is usually bad form.

The Athletic’s Brody Miller reported that Orgeron has been accused of hitting on the pregnant wife of an LSU official at a gas station, adding to the distractions that the newly single Orgeron has brought to the program.

Orgeron filed for divorce from his wife in April 2020 after 23 years, but Larry Brown Sports reports the two had been living apart for a few months before the divorce filing.

It didn’t take long for Orgeron’s eyes to wander once again.

“That woman was the wife of a high-ranking LSU official. Word of this reached the LSU Board of Supervisors, the collection of prominent Louisiana attorneys and business owners appointed by the governor who make the most important decisions at LSU. And of course, it reached LSU athletic director Scott Woodward,” Miller reports.

In November 2020, photos showing the then 59-year-old National Champion head coach of LSU, enjoying the company of a new mystery lady circulated the Internet.

Orgeron led LSU to a 15-0 season and a national championship in 2019 after a 10-3 season in 2018.

On Sunday, LSU released a detailed buyout payment plan for Orgeron, whose buyout calls for him to receive just under $17 million as of a Dec. 1 termination because he was fired without cause, OutKick previously reported.

OutKick’s Glenn Guilbeau reports sources close to LSU still maintain that efforts will be made to decrease that buyout, but AD Scott Woodward and Orgeron seemed to be at the end of a harmonious breakup Sunday.

  1. So Orgeron has a “womanizer problem” …. didn’t his predecessor Les Miles like to invite coed interns up to his condo for “career counseling” …. huuummmmm.

Must be sumthin’ in the gumbo down in Baton Rouge …..

  2. Seems like he’s a single man and he can hit on anyone he chooses I would guess. He is/was probably the highest paid bachelor in town. Sounds like he pick the wrong debutante, but I don’t see how this would get a guy fired unless her husband had a big stick up his ass… this is all bullshit.

    • I agree. If he’s single he can do what he wants as far as hitting on women. He hit on this particular wife of an LSU official but he didn’t do or say anything to her that was out of line as far as I can tell. She rejected his advances and both went on their merry way. No harm, no foul.

    • Dude. The man is walking about campus with no morals…. then that’s a problem.

I understand he is being compensated to win games – rather than be Mr Upstanding ~ Mister Rogers. But there is an implicit argument being made here that it’s no problem if the leader of your program is walking around like a mindless horndog. At some point, integrity still matters.

Also, by the way SanDiegoNavyVet – I guarantee you would feel different if it was your wife. Just saying…

      • I have an ex-wife, he can hit on her all he wants. I’m not seeing a picture of a guy tomcatting around campus, I’m seeing a single guy that “hit on” a lady at the gas station, the extent of which remains a mystery. I’m not sure I’d want to work for LSU.

        • 1) the entire reason he is single in the first place is because his wife got sick of it & left him after multiple infidelities.

          2) “I have an ex-wife” I don’t care if she gets hit on”. Okay ? Of course not. Why would you?
          It’s over.

That’s not even close to the same as if you were still married and he was hitting on her.

    • *sigh. Here is Grant…

*Same people* that come on here and complain that the country is going to hell in a hand basket are the same people saying: “hey… I mean who cares if the man is running around schlepping half the town, infidelity that breaks up marriages / home wrecker. I mEaN sO wHaT iF a FaMiLy fALLs ApaRt as a result”…. etc etc

      Guys. Make it make sense.
