Ring Camera Captures Plane Crash in South Florida Neighborhood

No survivors were found among the wreckage

Plane crashes seem to be one of the big stories of 2025, as aviation disasters are happening with alarming frequency this year.

Plenty of notable crashes have taken place in the latter half of the year, including the one that claimed the life of country music star Brett James back in September, as well as the most recent incident in Louisville with the UPS cargo plane's failed landing less than a week ago.

Yet another incident took place today, this time in South Florida, as a small cargo plane that was apparently carrying relief supplies for the victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica crashed into a neighborhood in Coral Springs, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale.

The craziest part of all of this, though, is someone's backyard Ring camera was able to capture footage of the crash as it happened.

The plane departed from nearby Fort Lauderdale executive airport just after 10 a.m. on Monday, bound for Jamaica.

Around 10:30, the plane apparently experienced some issues and crashed into the man-made pond you see in the video below.

Rescue efforts have apparently commenced, but as of the writing of this story, no survivors have been found among the wreckage.

One of the comments in the Breaking911 post alleges to live in the neighborhood where the crash occurred and has stated that the fuselage can't even be located, which, if true, means these search and rescue crews have their work cut out for them.

Despite the small size and shallow depth, I can tell you from living in South Florida that this will be a tough task for anyone searching for anyone who was on board.

The bodies of fresh water in the area are so murky that it's hard to see your own hand in front of your face.

This doesn't include the dangerous wildlife that is known to lurk on the surface and in the depths below.

Regardless, this was a tragic event that only happened because people wanted to help others in need out of the kindness of their own hearts.

They say no good deed goes unpunished, and this might be some proof.

Here's hoping if this story doesn't have a happy ending, we can at least get some closure on what went wrong.
