Petco Park Brawl: Dads Throw Bombs On Opening Weekend

I know, I know…many of you don't want OutKick to post the fan fights at ballparks and stadiums around sports, but, we have a job to do. It has been my stated goal for the last 17 years to show readers everything going on off the field.

I nearly had, "Show readers everything ESPN won't show them" tatted on my forearm so I'd never forget why I was chosen to work on the Internet for so many years. It's my duty. If you just pay attention to what ESPN thinks is news, you'd never know that the San Diego Padres actually exist or that their fans tend to be trash bags who fight way more than traditional fan fighting hotbeds like Philadelphia.

There, I said it, Philly. That's right, Padres fans tend to be bigger scumbags than Phillies fans at least in the fan-fighting department.

Let's go to this Opening Weekend brawl that popped up on my radar. "Stay…down!"

The big news from this video is that I'm now seeing the beer bats have made their way to Major League Baseball. Several years ago, I bought one of those from the Myrtle Beach minor league baseball team. I think they were the first ones to sell beers in plastic bats.

When I ordered the bat, I assumed it would take like 3-4 weeks to arrive. I think it took like four months. I was sitting here working one day when UPS dropped off a package. I opened it and there it was, the Myrtle Beach beer bat. I'd forgotten all about it.

Anyway, the Padres hopped on the bandwagon.

The other big takeaway here is that we have two dads pounding away on what appear to be a couple of college bros. That's not usual. Typically, we'll get dads on dads or bros on bros.

It was a rather weird weekend in San Diego.

Things got off to a hot start when some chick made solid contact across a guy's face and we were off to the races.
