WATCH: Slapping And Punching Ensues Between Padres And Giants Fans In Wild Scene At Petco Park

We haven’t even seen the first full week of the MLB season unfold, and we’re already witnessing fan fights in the stands of ballparks.

During the San Diego Padres game against the San Francisco Giants at Petco Park on Saturday, fans from each team got into an altercation. A woman (who was a Padres fan) was getting verbally aggressive with two Giants fans sitting nearby. As she reached the end of her tirade, she flipped off the fans with both hands and yelled "F–k you!" before aggressively  slapping one of them in the face.

The fan who got slapped reacted in shock. As the female fan turned to leave, the Giants fans shoved her down a couple of rows in retaliation.

Fans quickly came to the woman’s aid, and seemed to confront the Giants fan for his actions. Thankfully, the incident quickly died down after this, and the everyone went back to watching the game.

TMZ reported that it was unclear what caused the fight and what made the Padres fan so mad. The news outlet also noted that it was unclear if the cops were called after the slap. Part of the woman’s frustration could have stemmed from the fact that the Giants ended up winning the game 8-3

Is this the precursor to a wild MLB season? Probably not. But it's certainly a wild start.
