Nina Dobrev's Free Agency Is Off To A Hot, Bikini-Filled Start

Nina Dobrev enters the new year as a high-profile free agent. The soon-to-be 37-year-old actress and Olympic snowboarder Shaun White called it quits late last year.

That's a blow to romantics everywhere. You hate to see the actress and athlete not work out, but they were one of many celebrity couples who didn’t make it through 2025 intact.

They went their separate ways in September, calling off their engagement after nearly five years together. If you're anything like me, you thought the face shield makeout session on Valentine’s Day a few years ago had these two locked in for decades.

Sadly, that wasn’t meant to be. Bonding over mocking the absurdity of sharing a kiss through a face shield during a pandemic wasn't strong enough to keep them together.

Nina had a free agency she wasn’t planning for at the time in her future. One that, as is often the case, includes time spent in a bikini or two.

Some of the untrained eyes out there label the bikinis and the occasional tight dress as some sort of revenge. That's absurd. This isn’t about getting back at an ex or showing them who they let get away.

No, the bikini content is all about free agency. Think of those winter videos of swings in the batting cage. They're not looking backwards and neither is Nina. She's hitting the reels hard in her bikini.

That's a veteran move, especially for a star hovering around just below A-lister status and who has more than 27 million Instagram followers.

Nina's setting the tone for 2026 here. She wants those good times that are promised to be delivered. So far, so good as far as that's concerned.

Get her some sun, get her some bikinis and let her do the rest. She's not afraid of letting folks get a look behind the curtain while cranking out content.
