Kay Adams Dumps Out More Cabo Content, Georgia Pitcher Accused Of Cheating & A's Announcer Had A Tough Series

Final Monday of April, and you know what that means, right?

Let me walk you through it. Try to keep up.

That means we're two days away from May. When we get to May, we get to Memorial Day. When we get to Memorial Day, we get to summer. When we get to summer, we get the Fourth of July.

And when we get to the Fourth of July, we're basically back to football season.

So, ipso-facto (and I have zero clue if that phrase works here but I've always wanted to use it), we're basically two days away from football season. You're welcome!

On that note, welcome to a Monday Nightcaps – the one where we gear up for summer with Kay Adams and get fired up for a big week with the Oakland A's broadcast team. Let's ride.

We'll check in with Queen Kay here in a bit. I know SeanJo and Screencaps broke it down yesterday, but she was kind enough to dump out more content for Nightcaps after the fact, and we appreciate those who go the extra mile around here.

What else? This awful and I mean awful call by A's play-by-play girl Jenny Cavnar went viral over the weekend so I'd like your thoughts, and this little okie-doke by Georgia pitcher Christian Mracna is going viral as we speak, so we'll check on him, too.

Anything else? How about one baseball fan taking a beer to the face courtesy of a foul ball? Sure, why not? I've also got an insane weekend of LIV golf content to get to, and we may check the mail on a Monday.

How's all that sound? I hope you said, ‘good,’ because that's what you're getting!

Grab a drink with Cabo Kay Adams and settle in for a pre-football season Monday 'Cap!

Let's start with … LIV Golf content!

Didn't see it coming, did you? We zig, they zag. Y'all know the rules by now.

Unreal weekend of content from the LIV Golf fellas over in Australia. Never thought they'd be able to give The People's Open a run for its money in terms of atmosphere, but buddy, the Aussies BROUGHT IT this weekend.

And hey! So did the fellas on the course. Kevin Na, how'd your round go?

Kay Adams dumps out more Cabo content

What a weekend of content! And yes, I'm aware the PGA had a good one in New Orleans, too. This isn't about one or the other. We can all co-exist.

I just think the content was better on the LIV side this weekend. That's all. Kevin Na? Electric. That's probably me right about now, because I had a 4 p.m. tee time today once class was over. I can feel his anger. I HAVE felt his anger.

Different is, I don't have hundreds of people watching me make an ass out of myself when I duff a billion chips in a row. I'd toss that club so far into the sky you'd never see it again.

Good little talent pool over in Australia, too. That's TWO hero cameramen to come out of the weekend. If you read Nightcaps' older, racin' brother, Monday Morning Pit-Stop, you already know the other one:

Elite work from Down Under AND from Dover. That's called teamwork. Nice job, fellas.

Now let's get you two down to Cabo, STAT!

Foul balls and foul calls

Welcome back to class, Kay! Been far too long, especially for one of our best students. Nothing says summer is almost here like Kay Adams going viral on vacation. A tale as old as time. A tradition unlike any other, as Jimbo Nantz would whisper.

Don't be such a stranger next time!

Now, let's head to the diamond to get everyone caught up on a big weekend of baseball.

First? The most unfortunate foul ball placement of all time, followed by quite possibly the worst call of all time.

Try to keep up:

Georgia pitcher gets sticky and white corners

Look, I don't know much about Jenny Cavnar, so I won't pretend to. A quick scroll of Google and social media tells me two things, though.

1. This is her first year in the booth.

2. A's fans seem pretty divided on her, which should be obvious given the state of our country.

Some want Jenny here fired because, let's just be honest, those calls stunk. I felt like I was watching the 9th inning of a 4-hour spring training game. I get it.

But – she's an infant in terms of broadcasting, so maybe give her a minute. She's got Dallas Braden in the booth with her, which should help.

It's also not easy calling OAKLAND A'S games. Ain't exactly a ton to cheer about, although the A's might be sneaky … OK? They just took 2 of 3 from the Orioles, and I only know that because it cost me a ton of money. Great.

Anyway, do we have any A's fans here at OutKick? Bueller? If so, help me fill in the pieces here.

Rapid-fire time on the way out. First up? How about this little move from Georgia's Christian Mracna?

I mean, that's a tough video to come back from. Don't know how you wiggle your way out of that one, but it's the SEC baby – they'll find a way.

Nothing to see here!

Next? I wrote about how it's OK to laugh at the Eagles drafting white corner Cooper DeJean over the weekend, basically just saying it's silly to tip-toe around the issue and instead just acknowledge that A) it's funny, and B) WHY it's funny.

Why is it funny? Well – and brace yourselves if you didn't know this already – it's because black athletes are usually faster than white ones. I know. Wow.

Anyway, I wrote about it, and buddy, did it FIRE y'all up!

From DV:

While I love "Remember the Titans" as it captures much of the joy and toughness that it took to play football back in the day, I have always found the 'white corner back is too slow' sub-plot as an offensive stereotype. Just think, if the white QB in the story had replaced the black QB, not because of a broken arm, but rather it was even implied that the white QB was smarter, it would be decried as racist. It's the same.

Thanks, D!

It 100% would have been deemed racist had that been the case. Could you imagine?

I guess the only real difference I see – and it's a biggie – is calling someone dumb and calling someone slow are two different levels of stereotyping. One is edgy. The other? Bold, to say the least.

Thankfully, it was only because Ryan Gosling was an absolute liability outside and Pete gave them the best chance to win. I'd prefer nothing in life to be any deeper than that.

From Joe:

Loved your article on Cooper D.! One pick ahead of Kool-Aid too. Yes it is time to laugh. I'm from Wyoming, and enjoy watching Josh A. and Andrew W. play and compete. Yep, great athletes competing against great athletes.

Thanks, Joe!

Nothing this year will be funnier than a white corner from Iowa named Cooper being drafted one spot ahead of a black corner named Kool-Aid from Alabama. Nothing. That's my point. It's OK to laugh at that.

Finally, from Joe No. 2:

You didn’t include Tom Cruise in All the Right Moves!  It might be before your time, but it’s an awesome movie.  Check it out.

Rose Newell takes us home

Can I be honest? Never seen it. I know I just shared that clip, and I was about to lie to you guys and say it was/is a great movie, blah, blah, blah.

But I've never seen it. It came out 10 years before I was born. Give me a break. I'm all in, though. Seems good. I'll watch it this week, which works out because it's almost May, which means it's almost summer, which means it's almost football season.

And that, boys and girls, is how you bring a class full circle.

Now let's go have a week (with new Raiders WAG, Rose Newell!).

OutKick Nightcaps is a daily column set to run Monday through Friday at 4 p.m. (roughly, we’re not robots).
