'Indecent' Butterfly Babe Thong 2 Piece Bikini Bottoms Send Instagram Users Into A Rage
While Bette Midler was off offending the trans community over a tweet declaring that women are under attack, biological women were over on Instagram being offended by a $12 bikini.
The stringy bikini with barely-there bottoms went on sale over the weekend and that led to a post from bikini brand Fashion Nova which now finds itself under attack like Midler. "What is with this style?!? May as well be naked," one online commenter wrote.
Another user opined that women wearing this bikini should "just swim bottomless at this point" while another angry shopper wrote "Now yall know damn well we can't fit that."
But it wasn't all hate. One fun-loving Instagram user wrote that this two-piece is "Perfect for the family barbeque (and) pool party."
Another joked "So essentially a front thong for this double whopper I’m packing? Lmao."
And perhaps the best comment came from the woman who wrote, "LMFAO IMAGINE OUR FATHERS SEEING US IN THIS."
Now I know what you're thinking: Will my wife be ticketed for indecency on vacation if I buy this for her?
There's actually a website where you can track down such information. The website No Fashion Police, written by a 27-year-old bisexual, keeps tabs on the world of thong legality and notes that thongs are legal in "almost all" national parks and national rec areas.
You can use that site to see which laws apply in different states. Take Arkansas State Parks. The butterfly floss bikini is LEGAL, according to the latest data from No Fashion Police.
But in Delaware, it's illegal to wear a thong. The same goes for thongs worn inside the city limits of Daytona Beach -- no thongs!
Imagine that, you can't wear the butterfly bikini at the home of MTV's Spring Break.
If you're thinking about making the butterfly part of your bikini repertoire, you better hurry. Fashion Nova says this is the final sale for this controversial-kini.
"The Branding Of the skin when that metal hit th2 sun. More like branded for life," a customer wrote on Instagram wrote.
That's true, you might want to ice down that butterfly before hitting the pool.
Be careful, ladies.
