Bette Midler Offends The Super Libs With Transgender Tweet As All Hell Breaks Loose

Ultra-lib Bette Midler finds herself in quite a predicament with her street cred inside the trans community after daring to step out on July 4th with a hot take that has absolutely infuriated LGBTQ+ defenders.

The 76-year-old Midler started her 4th of July holiday with a hot take stating women "are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name!" while adding that "They don't call us 'women' anymore; they call us 'birthing people' or 'menstruators', and even 'people with vaginas'!"

A clearly fired-up super lib Midler, with nothing better to do on a joyous holiday in the middle of the summer wasn't quite done.

"Don't let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!" she added.

While you were in the pool enjoying iHeart 80s, Midler found herself eight feet deep in a LGBTQ+ firestorm with firepower coming in from all different angles. Let's just say Bette's social media street cred -- let's not forget she is called by some the 'Best Gay Icon Ever' -- took a massive blow as the trans community went all-in.

To her credit, Midler hasn't deleted the tweet.

"No. Don’t fall for the anti-trans panic fake nonsense. No one is erasing women. In a few small healthcare cases where appropriate they are using trans inclusive language. That’s all," a blue checkmark 'gender discombobulist' tweeted at Bette.

Blue checkmark feminist Roxane Gay wasn't pleased one bit by fellow lib lib warrior Bette's take.

"No one is trying to erase women with inclusive language about people who need abortion care. No one is calling you anything but what you prefer. You should extend that courtesy in return," Gay wrote.

"This isn’t erasing women, it’s about being inclusive to others who also menstruate etc. No one is trying to stop you being called a woman, but not all women menstruate," MJ tweeted at the legendary actor.

"What a shame that you've fallen for the lie and are attacking trans folks instead of the people who are actually taking your rights away. Please look into this and do better," Dillahunty warned.

What a start to the month. The next thing you know, Bette might actually call for women's sports to be for women and not for men who want to take spots once occupied by biological women.

Be careful, Bette. The next thing you know they'll call for your Kennedy Center honors and cancel you for not being lib enough.
