Husband Has Been Cheating For Years Attempting To Catch Number His Wife Slept With During 'Promiscuous Phase'

A couple had their marriage fall apart after the husband learned about the number of men his wife slept with before meeting him.  She explained how he spent years trying to catch the numbers she put up during her "promiscuous phase" and how he used it as an excuse to repeatedly cheat on her.

Back when she was in her late teens into her early 20s - her promiscuous phase - the woman says that she slept with roughly 30 men, give or take a few. When she met her husband, he had just nine women that he had been with.

She didn't think anything of it when he asked her how many people she had been with. She didn't want to lie to him, so she was honest and included the aforementioned promiscuous phase in her total count. It turns out that she would have been better off, or still married anyway, had she lied to him.

He responded to learning the number of men that she had slept with by the time she was 23 by saying "that’s really gross."  She thought they had worked past it, but it turns out he was still insecure about it.  And while they never talked about it again, he went to work.

This guy had some catching up to do, and it's possible that he caught and even surpassed her number. He spent five of their seven years of marriage cheating on his wife. She found out about the repeated cheating a few months ago and filed for divorce.

Better Late Than Never On Dodging The Insecure Bullet

She explained that "He started cheating on me when he was overseas and he was on dating apps having casual sex.  It’s so crazy because EVERYONE from his work knows that he’s married and no one cared to tell me what my husband was doing overseas."

He was deployed three times and used his free time to have sex with other women.  The worst part, for his now ex-wife, is that some of the women knew he was married.

"Honestly, I don’t understand why women actually want to have sex with him knowing he’s married," she said.  "One girl even messaged him and said ‘I’m going to replace your wife’ and he texted back saying ‘oh are you now?’"

The number of men she slept with was too much for him. She said it was "silently killing" him, but he also found that he was more desirable to women now that he was in his 30s. He even told her, "it’s unfair for him to say no to all the girls that want him now when they didn’t want him before."

That's one way to look at it.  Obviously, she had a different view of how their marriage should work and opted for the divorce instead of letting him run wild overseas.

Very few would blame her for a "promiscuous phase" part two.
