The Indianapolis Colts are in the market for a new starting quarterback for 2021, and while it appears that Andrew Luck is NOT coming back, one QB who is on the Colts radar is Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz.

Wentz is not happy with the Eagles after the team sat him late in the season for rookie Jalen Hurts, but things may have cooled after the team canned Doug Pederson and hired Nick Sirianni to be the team's new voice.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman appears ready to take calls on Wentz, and while it's going to take a lot to pry Wentz out of Philly, it's not out of the question that the Colts would put together a solid multi-pick deal to get Wentz on their roster.

How serious are the Colts about Wentz? Friday NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo spoke to SportsRadio 94WIP about Wentz and said that the Eagles and Colts have already spoken about a potential deal.

“I do know that the Eagles have had conversations with the Indianapolis Colts already," Garafolo said.

"Here is the thing about the Colts -- and this is why they were never strongly in the running for Matthew Stafford — these guys are really good at what they do draft-wise. They believe in themselves.

"Every pick that they deal away, they think to themselves, ‘I just dumped away a good player,’ whereas some GMs might say, ‘Eh, you know what, I may have missed on that pick anyway.’ These guys believe they are going to hit on every single one. So what they do is, they are a little slow playing when it comes to these draft picks and trades.”

Most of the time, these types of deals happen around the NFL Draft, but with free agency starting in mid-March, it sounds like the Colts are being aggressive so that they don't miss out on the quarterback they want for 2021 and beyond.

The Colts are not the only team in the mix for Wentz though. The New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos, Washington Football Team, and Carolina Panthers are all likely to have a say before Wentz gets dealt anywhere.
