Big Ten Issues Statement About Kevin Warren Call With President Trump

1) Earlier today, Outkick founder Clay Travis reported exclusive details on President Donald Trump's call with Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren about bringing football season back as soon as possible this Fall, and the offered assistance of federal resources to grease the wheels.

2) President Trump tweeted:

3) The Big Ten issued the following statement:

A White House representative reached out to Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren on Monday to facilitate a phone call between President Donald Trump and Commissioner Warren. On Tuesday, Commissioner Warren and the President had a productive conversation.

The Big Ten Conference and its Return to Competition Task Force, on behalf of the Big Ten Council of Presidents & Chancellors (COP/C), are exhausting every resource to help student-athletes get back to playing the sports they love, at the appropriate time, in the safest and healthiest way possible.

4) Bottom Line: The onus is now off Kevin Warren and on the Big Ten presidents and chancellors, a collection taxpayer-paid one-percenters whose 11-3 vote is finally public after weeks of dragging their feet and inconsistent public messages. The Big Ten does not confirm President Trump's assertion that return to play is on the "one yard line" but they also didn't dispute that message, which speaks volumes.

5) Stay tuned!
