'Migrant Influencer' Urging Illegals To Squat In US Homes Arrested By ICE

If you had been wondering how well Joe Biden's border crisis was going, the "migrant influencer" phenomenon should be a perfect explanation.

Leonel Moreno, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, essentially went viral over the past few months with TikTok videos that gave instructions and encouragement to migrants on how best to squat in houses in the United States. Moreno frequently posted photos of the money he was taking in from his videos, making yet another mockery of the laughable enforcement both of existing immigration laws and protection for homeowners.

Reports broke recently that Moreno was on the run from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and in a small bit of good news for law enforcement, Fox News confirmed on Friday afternoon that he'd officially been arrested.

According to Fox News, Moreno was arrested by the Detroit field office in Columbus, Ohio and is being held by federal officials. He, like so many others, illegally entered the country two years ago after the Biden administration opened the floodgates.

Biden's Open Border Policies Paying Dividends For Illegal Immigrants

Moreno had said in his TikTok video that he was receiving $350 per week from the government, as well as earning as much as $1,000 per day for his videos on squatting.

"I have thought about invading a house in the United States," he said in one video posted on TikTok. "I found out that there is a law that says that if a house is not inhabited, we can seize it."

He also then taunted Americans who work for a living in another video.

"You're hurt because I make more than you without much work while you work like slaves, understand?" he said. "That's the difference between you and me. I'm always going to make lots of money without much work, and you're always going to be exploited and miserable and insignificant."

While it's nice to see ICE actually make an arrest, Moreno's high profile and social media posts likely made him easier to find and arrest. How many millions of illegal immigrants in the country are taking advantage of U.S. government policies and other loopholes to make money at the expense of those who follow the law?

Not to mention those who commit violence, as in the case of Laken Riley and many other well-documented incidents. It's disgraceful, unacceptable, and it's part of why Joe Biden's popularity and favorability have continued to plummet. While competent, effective politicians like Ron DeSantis crack down on such abuses.

Now that Moreno is in custody, the biggest question is who will take his place as the next illegal immigrant to brag on TikTok about taking advantage of U.S. citizens?
