Ron DeSantis Beats Disney Again, Cements Winning Streak As America's Most Effective Governor

Over the past week, Ron DeSantis has repeatedly shown why he's the most effective governor in the country. And it's not even remotely close.

Earlier this week, DeSantis and the Walt Disney Company came to a settlement agreement in the litigation over Disney's handling of the Reddy Creek Improvement District, the name of the jurisdiction in charge of governing the Walt Disney World property. The settlement, from Disney's side, was a thorough, comprehensive loss. All stemming from the company's Hail Mary efforts in 2023 to stop the new, state-appointed board from taking over management.

At a state level, the settlement effectively ended all pending litigation between Disney and DeSantis, with every single case being decided in DeSantis' favor. As local media reported, the agreement ended Disney's last ditch attempt to retain their monopolistic control over the Reedy Creek district, by declaring them "null and void."

Unsurprisingly, when Disney attempted their desperate end-around, the media rushed to declare it a crushing defeat and "legal humiliation" for DeSantis.

"Out-negotiated by Mickey Mouse," "Disney struck a second secret agreement to mess up DeSantis' power grab," "How Disney just beat Ron DeSantis."

Whoops!

If you're wondering where the updated stories are, presumably these same media outlets are, somehow, still working on them, cause there sure hasn't been anything out there yet.

DeSantis Win Over Disney Continues Winning Streak

It's not just the Disney settlement that cemented the DeSantis winning streak though. As spring break comes to a close, Miami Beach had an entirely uneventful season after years of chaos.

Why? Because DeSantis worked with local leadership and law enforcement to ensure that the rule of law was respected and enforced. As street takeovers, declining quality of life and retail theft continue to skyrocket throughout far left states like California, it was another refreshing sign of effectiveness and competence.

Similarly, as the hot button issue of squatter's rights popped up over the past few weeks, DeSantis immediately worked to get legislation passed to end any possibility of home takeovers in Florida.

A national problem emerged that the right noticed, and DeSantis worked with local lawmakers to get it fixed in Florida. Quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly.

As The Babylon Bee explained, it's enough to get him kicked out of the Republican Party.

As COVID fades from memory for much of the public, it's easy for people to forget that DeSantis showed throughout the pandemic that he was America's most effective leader. That he had the courage to pursue the right policies, refused to let progressive politicians, local or national, take control over his state, and made sure conservative priorities got done.

There's a reason why Florida remains one of the country's fastest growing states at the expense of Gavin Newsom's California.

Maybe yet another winning streak will serve as a reminder. But based on what the current leader of the Republican Party focuses on instead, it's not likely.
