Cal Ripken Jr. is Cancer Free
Thursday, Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February but is now cancer-free:
Ripken had no symptoms before his routine checkup. "There was no reason for me to think I had any issues," Ripken explained. He then saw a urologist and as a precaution, had a biopsy and cancer was detected.
On Monday, Ripken turns 60.
It goes without saying: we are all ecstatic to hear that he has made a full recovery.
