In response to the 14-year anniversary of the finale of The Sopranos last week, I ranked the five greatest TV shows of all time.
Unlike most people, I ranked correctly:
- The Sopranos
- The Leftovers
- Breaking Bad
- The Wire
- Game of Thrones
Fox News’ Will Cain responded to the list on his podcast Monday, ranking his own top eight.
You can hear his full list below (starting at the 55:00 mark). But first, I need to take issue with one of his comments.
“The Sopranos is really good,” Will said on the Will Cain Podcast. “But it doesn’t quite live up to the top two series on this list. It showed some holes in its games. Some weaknesses.
“Some plot lines were too coincidental.”
What a shameful statement. Almost as bad as Clay ranking Friday Night Lights at No. 5.
My top five: 1. Breaking Bad 2. The Sopranos 3. Game of Thrones 4. Mad Men 5. Friday Night Lights (Succession is my favorite current show on TV). https://t.co/OlTgomZD5K

Honestly, I’d just stick with me on the TV talk.

Lonesome Dove and Justified are to Great TV Shows what Liz Hurley and Salma Hayek are to Incredibly Hot Women !
Justified is fantastic. Really glad to see that mentioned.
The Sopranos is the greatest television program ever created. None of the others would have existed without it. The others were cool, this was groundbreaking.

II. TWIN PEAKS (original-ABC)
