Will Bill Cosby Cash In On The Speaker Circuit Now That He's A Free Man?

Long-time comedian Bill Cosby was released from prison Wednesday after Pennsylvania's high court overturned his sexual assault conviction.

Cosby will now have to get used to living life as a civilian again, and he may be able to cash in on his recent bout of good luck to help him do so.

According to TMZ, Cosby could fetch anywhere from $10-15k -- and maybe up to $20k -- for speaking engagements.

The site points out that Cosby isn't likely to be shunned, especially since O.J. Simpson participated in many public events after he was acquitted of double-murder and made good money in the process.

It's going to take a very good publicist and a number of marketing folks to restore Cosby's image. The funnyman served three years of a three- to 10-year sentence at a maximum-security prison outside Philadelphia.

The 83-year-old made his way back to his home in suburban Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon where, looking frail and walking slowly, he was helped inside by his lawyer and a spokesman. He flashed a “V” sign as he reached his front door.
