Watch: Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill Loses Foot Race To Rookie LB Micah Parsons

Videos by OutKick

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek ‘Cheetah’ Hill is widely considered one of the fastest men in the NFL, but when it comes to the Fastest Man in the 2022 Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker Micah Parsons came in with something to prove.

The four contenders for the skills competition race included Hill, Parsons, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb, and Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs.

Ahead of the competition, broadcasters went over their 40-yard dash times from their respective combines:

  • Hill – 4.29 seconds
  • Parsons – 4.39 seconds
  • Diggs – 4.42 seconds
  • Chubb – 4.52 seconds

When Parsons was asked why he wasn’t wearing clothes in the chilly Las Vegas weather ahead of the start of the race, the rookie looked to how Chubb stripped down.

“Nick got a personal agenda against me, he done stripped down — I still got my sweats on,” Parsons said. “So I just want to beat Nick, really.”

The four Pro Bowlers lined up at the start uniquely different — Hill decided to not even take a runner’s stance but worse sweatpants and a hoodie, Chubb in shorts and a shirt, Parsons went shirtless but wore sweatpants and Diggs went with the sweatpants and hoodie/jersey fit.

It looks as though Hill realized he got a slow start and gave up after that, but the race was incredibly close between Chubb and Parsons — Parson’s reaction time is something to look out for.

After the win, Parsons said he does “want a Madden 95-speed, though.”

Maybe with this victory and the fact that he was just named the 2022 Madden Rookie of the Year, Parsons has a case to get that speed change.

The rookie didn’t go without giving Hill credit, though. Parsons said he knows Hill just played in a game a couple of days ago, so he wasn’t giving his best, Fansided reports. Parsons said he still knows Hill is the fastest man in the league.
