Video: John Wolford Rocked By Jamal Adams, Jared Goff in Game (UPDATE)

Rams starter John Wolford got drilled shoulder to helmet by Seahawks safety Jamal Adams and left the game during the first quarter. Jared Goff is in at quarterback for the Rams. Wolford got the start over Goff today as Goff is recovering from thumb surgery.

Adams was initially flagged on the play, but the referees determined that Wolford was not afforded protection as a runner. Mike Pereira, the officiating expert for FOX, thought it should’ve been a foul and disagreed with the decision to pick up the flag.

The Rams’ third-string quarterback, Blake Bortles, is inactive today so if Wolford cannot return it all falls on Goff now.

Update: John Wolford has been taken to a hospital in an ambulance:

  1. Johnny Wolford, Bishop Kenny High school football legend, getting his shot. Hate to see this happen, but he will be back and hopefully has put together enough positive moments to spark a little career. Proud of the kid.
