1 Dead, 2 Wounded After Gunfire Erupts At Alleged NFL Player Party

CBS Los Angeles is reporting one person is dead and two are wounded after gunfire erupted at what’s being called a party “thrown to celebrate a player recently getting drafted to an NFL team” a mansion in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of L.A.

The shooting occurred at around 12:47 a.m. at a home in the 13200 block of West Mulholland Drive. In a video posted by one partygoer to Instagram, about 20 gunshots could be heard.  There appeared to be two rounds of gunfire. Following the second, there was chaos as people tried to run to safety.

All three were rushed to local hospitals, where one person died and two others were in critical but stable condition, the Los Angeles Fire Department reports. A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were among the victims.

A fourth person suffered a non-firearm-related injury while fleeing. No names were released.

The name of the NFL player being celebrated at the party has yet to surface. Gabriel Pacheco, who posted video from inside the party, said on Instagram that “Big Hollywood Hills mansion party off Mulholland Drive shots fired people shot a lot of big Ballers were gambling lost a lot of money we’re pissed then a bunch of gangsters came in and robbed everybody and started shooting everybody. a lot of people with money and guns and gangsters got crazy I ran for my life it was crazy.
