Rumor: Oladipo Unhappy in Indy

You know things are bad when the face of your franchise is making it clear he wants to play elsewhere ... during a game.

That was the case with Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo, according to the Indianapolis Star. Per the report, Oladipo posed the following question to his opponents: "Can I come play with y'all?"

This supposedly took place during the action against three different teams: the New York Knicks, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors.

Though we cannot believe that anyone would willingly play for the Knicks, this news isn't necessarily a big surprise. The NBA has become the league of chronic dissatisfaction. Wherever a superstar is playing, he often would rather be playing somewhere else.

Of course, this is also just a report. There is no video-taped evidence. Because he could be a free agent at the end of next season, Oladipo has been the subject of trade rumors. However, he has been a strong leader, and the Pacers have been happy with him.

He has indicated publicly that he, too, is happy with the Pacers.

“I’m a Pacer, dawg. I’m a Pacer," he recently said during an Instagram Live appearance. "I can’t control the rumors, man. All of the ones on the internet, I don’t even know where they come from. I’m just in the background, working on my knee, trying to get right for next year.”

Oladipo's sister didn't deny on social media that Pacers center Myles Turner started the rumor. Turner himself weighed in as well.
