Lady Antebellum Changes Name To ‘Lady A’ Amid Racism Concerns

Lady Antebellum, the popular country music band, is changing its name after 14 years to "Lady A." The band announced today they recently found out the name, Antebellum, has an association with slavery.




Antebellum, in Latin, means “pre-war."

The Grammy-winning band has been referred to as Lady A in the past.

The announcement has caused some fighting among Twitter users. It's not clear how many of them battling are fans of the band.
