Cuban-American UFC star Jorge Masvidal spoke out on the “SOS Cuba” protests taking place on the island against the government and has some issues with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
“My father escaped Cuba when he was 14 years old,” Masvidal said in a video posted to his social media. “And I’ve only heard the horror stories since I could process thoughts of how shitty this communist regime, killing machine is. So I just want to shed some light on Cuba — big SOS signal for them.”
“This oppression has been going on for 61 years. This is not just because of the pandemic, or it’s not just because they ran out of medicine — they’ve been out of medicine and they’ve been out of resources and food because of the corrupt government and the extreme corruption over there where only a few at the top eat and everyone has to suffer,” he said. “Those days have to end.”
Masvidal went on to share an Instagram post to his story of Kaepernick wearing a Fidel Castro shirt from 2016 and said that “cowards like this fool” who should be “sent to live in Cuba” to see how he likes living under oppression.

Kaepernick received criticism when he wore the Castro shirt that also featured Malcolm X before the 49ers played the Dolphins back in 2016 — the year Castro died.
The then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback defended his decision by saying he agreed with Castro’s investment in education but didn’t support Castro’s oppressive tactics, per multiple reports.
“I agree with the investment in education,” he said. “I also agree with the investment in free universal health care as well as the involvement in helping end apartheid in South Africa. …I would hope that everybody agrees those things are good things. And trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things that he did is just not true.”
“One thing that Fidel Castro did do is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system,” Kaepernick said, per SI.com. “Which we do not do here, even though we’re fully capable of doing that.”
Big fan of Masvidal. Seems like a really legit dude. Doesn’t seem like he changes when the cameras are on. He definitely has got a good head on his shoulders and isn’t afraid to speak truth even when it might ruffle some feathers. He knows what actual communism is because his family escaped it and I think some are still there. It’s refreshing to here him call out the Cuban regime for what it is and defend America for what it is. The greatest country on the planet.
Masvidal is the real deal great fighter and great person need a whole lot more like him
Always a big fan btw
Who? Ask Coby Covington about opening your mouth before thinking. See Usman vs Covington
Someone who’s family actually escaped communism. That’s who.
BOOM
Huh? Who said anything about Colby Covington. I don’t follow. But since I’ve seen you on here defending Lebumb and Kaperdick that’s probably why. Liberals don’t make a lot of sense.
Jerkoff liberals bring up any stupid shit even if it doesn’t make sense. There’s no defending racist pricks like Kapernick or James.
A better one was Covington vs Tyron Woodly. Woodley answered every single question leading up to the fight by saying “black lives matter” no matter what the question was. Well come fight night Colby literally left that piece of shit woodly laying on that mat crying tears.
Actually Covington talked shit to Usman and git his soul destroyed. Cmin dude… you know what it is. Sports is the one place we’re you can’t run. And believe me, they trying to get at you.
No
“I’m the blackest coal black blackness of the blackiest of the black!” insists the half-white kid raised by white parents in an upper middle class white neighborhood, pampered all his life and handed undeserved money. “I am oppressed!! I am!!!!”
The fraud pitched Flag-sitting temper tantrum when he was benched for Blaine Gabbert and then his activist girlfriend spun it into a woke social justice message about .000001% of police encounters that end with them shooting a (usually resisiting) black criminal. And the race-baiting clowns who are so desperate for Racism! Please, there must be some somewhere!! bought it hook line and sinker.
