Trump Crushes Indians Name Change, Cancel Culture

The Cleveland baseball team is dropping the name "Indians," due to outside pressure from the outrage mob.

President Donald Trump disapproved of the news and accurately called it "cancel culture at work."

The pressure aimed at Cleveland's baseball team exemplifies the problem with outrage mob losers. Cancel culture has never been about making progress. It's about power. The cheapest way to power is forcing others to change by threatening them with damaging labels.

First, the outrage mob came for the Washington Redskins. Removing the word "Redskins" sounded reasonable since some believed it to be a slur. The team eventually caved and changed the name to the Washington Football Team, but the woke mobsters still weren't happy. Instead, they wanted more.

Removing truly offensive slurs isn't their ultimate goal. The goal is to eliminate words based on their own whims. Cancel culture wants power over language and therefore over those who speak it.

The outrage mob will soon set its sights on the Chiefs and Braves, which will be declared "offensive." By concluding everything is offensive and racist — as Twitter, the Left, and the media have —the country's growth halts and its citizens drift further apart.
