Travis Kelce Wins Free Bud Light For Chiefs Fans

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, already a fan-favorite, built up even more goodwill with Kansas City when it was announced that he had won free Bud Light for the home fans. San Francisco tight end George Kittle announced the news from his Twitter account, and Bud Light wasted little time confirming it.

Kelce earned the free suds by winning a long drive event during last weekend’s “Tight End University” – a camp for close to 50 NFL tight ends, hosted by Kittle and Greg Olsen. The pros used the Nashville-based camp to share trade secrets, prepare for the upcoming season, and build camaraderie amongst those who play the position. The long drive event took place at a local TopGolf, and free Bud Light was awarded on behalf of whichever tight end posted the highest score.

Following the win, Bud Light told Chiefs fans, “get ready, beer is on the way for National Tight End’s Day” but provided no other details. National Tight End’s Day, a holiday of sorts for the league’s last men on the line of scrimmage, falls on Sunday, October 24th this fall.

The Chiefs are scheduled to play the Titans in Nashville on that day, so the logistics of getting cold Bud Lights into the hands of Kansas City fans should be interesting.

From the looks of Tight End U, Kelce may have taste-tested a few brews prior to their Kansas City arrival.

Bud Light and Charmin were two of TEU’s biggest sponsors. With the free beer accounted for, Chiefs Kingdom may want to contact Charmin to supply their thrones with a couple of free squares. After all that Bud Light, they’ll need it.
